Alma, which translates to “soul”, at the Montecito Country Mart, is Chef Ramon Velazquez’ homage to his vibrant home of Guadalajara. A truly sophisticated blend of local ingredients and thoughtful tradition, the menu is approachable and inspiriing all at once. There are a few sauces I wanted to bring home with me to San Francisco, but In other good news, I guess I’ll just have to head back down to Montecito to enjoy it all in person. I had a lot of fun designing the logo, signage, matchboxes, and print materials for one of my favorite restaurants.
